I know it’s 60, before someone points it out, but you have to agree that the layout design leaves a lot to be desired

  1. Maybe this is a math quiz, and only the drivers solving it get to drive on the M50. A new approach to congestion….

  2. Ah the red cow roundabout . I honestly don’t understand how there isn’t a crash there everyday

  3. You’re supposed to add them and average them, so the speed limit is:

    60 + 100 + 30 = 190

    190/3 = 63.3333kmh

  4. You’re supposed to pass each sign at their respective speeds. It’s a test of your cars acceleration, your brakeing skills, and the airbag.

  5. Road signs in Ireland are so bad.

If you didn’t have a sat nav/ phone and solely relied on signage you’d be fecked.

Also 80km/h on every shite little backroad down the country is hilarious

  6. > I know it’s 60, before someone points it out

Honestly though, could someone actually point out how you’d know this? Is it more obvious from a different angle or something?

Learner driver here and I would be confused. 60 looks like the least obvious option in this photo.

  7. 30km/h speed limit on the bend at all times approaching a 100km/h zone with variable speed limits in place, currently showing a 60km/h speed limit due to heavy volumes of traffic or roadworks taking place

  8. It’s obvious isn’t it ?

You are supposed to go from 30 to 100 In that distance then immediately brake to 60

If you do it successfully the guards give you a personal handshake

  9. Was on the M50 on Saturday, perfect weather. The signs on the side said 100kph, the digital overhead sign said 80kpm and the flipping speed camera van was parked on one of the little ramps between Finglas and Santry, catching northbound traffic.

  10. Trying to learn this shit with zero help from anyone is one of the most disheartening things about living here. Why can’t it just make sense? Why can’t people do their jobs? Why do I need 20 family connections just to get basic things done?

  11. Maybe it’s a lesson on how to drift your rear wheel drive sports car!

Slam on brakes till at 30kph.

Box change to a higher gear ‘2nd or 3rd’ depending on your horse power.

    Slam on accelerator.

Spin rear wheels while slowly oversteering at 100kph

Straighten up and exit corner at approximately 60kph (hence the grey color) or

    When ever you feel comfortable!

Check mirrors and continue safely to your destination.
