Someone trying to show the world the “bad”/“ghetto” side of Switzerland, because normal life can not possibly be expected to exist in Switzerland.

  1. Behold and tremble in fear at the sight of our infrastructure improvement construction projects and 800,000 CHF flats. lol.

  2. This person needs to visit ✨Renens✨ to really get what construction work and ugly places is about.

  3. I wonder what they expect the rest of the world to look like, would they do a “bad/ghetto”-side video…

I feel like this is someone with little international travel experience.

Or of course it’s a joke.

  4. It just looks terrible shit like in the rest of the underdeveloped world.

And I can imagine that this is just the beginning. We started to destroy Switzerland a while ago with eye-sore after eye-sore.

Especially in Urban areas people flock into nowadays. It destroys their image they have of Switzerland. And they get disappointed.

  5. People reading too much into this. The video says it’s the side of Switzerland that nobody shows and pretty much is spot on in that regard.

  6. Chronicallyswiss 💀 lil bro should check out some places in Budapest.

Literally go on google maps and check
    “Havannatelep Budapest”

  7. There’s some situational comedy in Basel, Graffiti that translates to “nothing lasts forever” and it’s surrounded by construction… Which in Switzerland, and moreso that part of Basel IS forever.

^(cause when one construction project finished another starts)

  8. Imo, when these are shown as an ‘not-so-confident side’ of Switzerland, you guys should be proud of it. I mean really.

  9. Even before moving to Switzerland, I always found this kind of building ugly, communist ghetto-like. The difference is that in Switzerland they are almost everywhere and are damn expensive.

  10. Ever been to Stadelhofen train station late in the night? On a weekend? There’s broken glass bottles all over the place and it stinks as hell…and there’s this one group of people who wants to mess with everyone passing

Or also Chinawiese…it’s perfectly pretty and beautiful at daylight, but after midnight – be lucky if you don’t get robbed by the scooter guys or stabbed by some random psycho

  11. Talking of ghetto train stations, if you wanna see drug addicts, aggressive people, punchers and tramps, go to Amriswil, Weinfelden, Ziegelbrücke or the bus station of Arbon…the video has no idea of where the real misery is in this country

  12. Switzerland does have places that look as poor as they are. In big cities or really rural places, mostly. A big apartment building and a clean roadwork site really ain’t it. (then again, like some others here, I was also told I live in the ghetto. It’s a really pretty neighbourhood with old buildings intermixed with fancy new ones, bakeries, kindergardens…. But then again someone got SA’d across from my building. Not exactly perfectly safe either)

  13. This guy is clearly an idiot, but he has a point on the road work.

How does it take YEARS for simple roadwork projects in this country? I’ve never seen so many roads tied up with ongoing projects for months on end, and nobody ever actually working on them.

  14. Yeah I was there a few weeks ago. Beautiful country with much nicer everything than most other countries. No real homelessness in Zurich that I saw even downtown.

  15. In real “ghettos” people would be happy if someone would take care of the potholes in wich whole cars can dissapear…

But one thing is true. Construction work in switzerland always takes ages and is always behind schedule, always. If the sign says construction will be over late march 2023, expect it to take at least into july, at least. And of course there are eternal construction sites like the A1 in Zürich. They dug the Autobahn upside down when i started to drive and they still will when i’m long dead. It starts to feel like a single dude with a kids shovel would long have finished this construction site.
