The ringleaders of these gangs (especially the Rotherham gang) are the only good argument I’ve heard for bringing back the death penalty. We *know* these “people” did it beyond reasonable doubt, yet most of them were given such lenient sentences – a large amount of these literal child rapists will back be on the streets by 2030 it’s genuinely disgusting.

Many of the victims who testified were still underage when the people who raped them were released from prison.
Ever notice how the penalties for crimes are more or less severe based on how likely it is that a wealthy person might commit it? Knock over a corner shop and you’ll get years in prison even if you don’t harm anyone, but a wealthy person is never going to get done for a crime like that so the punishment is more severe. Sexually assault a bunch of kids for years and finally get caught? Just a slap on the wrist compared to the magnitude of the crime and the harm caused, can’t have the penalty be too severe because some high ranking establishment figure might get caught out committing the same crime. Same for stuff like dangerous or drunk driving deaths, can’t have severe penalties for something like that because then you might have to send down some Lord’s kid for a decade.
It always comes down to class issues in this country.

Ask even a “moderate” Muslim if it can EVER be acceptable for a 50 year old to have sex with a 9 year old and see for yourself.
