  1. No one will be surprised at this but it just shows how weak Sunak is. Everyone in Westminster knows he wants to sack Braverman, but he’s too scared too. So the hard right nutters are feeling more emboldened than ever.

  2. >“the leftist control of globalist corporations and entities”

I’m not a fan of global economics or trans-national corporations – but that’s because they’re controlled by right wing capitalists, not lefties.

  3. The BBC appears to have buried this story, that’s two speakers at least who have peddled far right antisemitic conspiracies. If this had been a Labour conference or fringe event they would have had it front and centre and already demanded a comment from Keir Starmer.

  4. Wholeheartedly embracing globalism has been the best decision I made in my life. The world is much richer if you allow yourself to live, learn, think, collaborate and trade freely without boundaries.

  5. It’s grotesque to know that a high-ranking Cabinet Minister wanted to be associated with these grotesque characters, who are flatout pushing antisemitic conspiracy theories.

  6. “You know those leftist parties that want to end democracy? We should totally ban them from contesting elections”

  7. Not “far right”, fascism and actual nazi talking points.

They are beyond dangerous and need to be crushed now.

  8. They don’t just hate Jews with a passion (as opposed to with a reason), these people. They hate *you*. They can transfer their passions to hating anyone.

  9. The bigot is the one that’s critical. The supremacist is the one winning the argument. With the rise of the Internet, it has allowed the right to get itself organised its ideology coherent and, most importantly, learn how to argue with a hostile opposition where the debate is stacked against them. And as we can see, they are starting to hold well .

  10. What’so strange is how american it sounds. On this thing’s twitter feed it’s going on about what Brits want and wanting to conserve our traditions.. but their Americanisations are the complete opposite.

They’re in this cloud cuckoo land where they think the average peraon would care more about this strange culture war ideology than practical things like paying their bills or being able to see a doctor. They saw “get Brexit done” capturing the public imagination so do they think they can replicate it or something?

  11. Conservative in “not wanting the character of their country degraded into a samey melange of a globalised culture” shocker?

Wow, a conservative person had conservative views. Fetch me my fainting couch.

  12. I believe this conference is actually funded by global elitists. The right-wing seem to use this technique a lot, presumably so gullible folk have no idea what’s going on or what the truth is.

  13. ‘Globalism’ is the word that the right wing likes to call capitalism.. but they can’t blame capitalism for doing bad things because that makes them a socialist. Or something.
