Laws need to change. They only encourage people to die trying to come to a country they don’t need to come to.
Why would anyone in France think they need to get to the U.K.? You’re in France!
Hardly a surprise. You’re allowed to seek asylum obviously. We apparently aren’t interested in stopping people actually dying in the channel. Just about looking tough/ looking welcoming.
Just highlights how difficult it is to prevent the smugglers business model. You only have to supply the boat, destroy their papers, have them steer the boat and profit.
The only way to prevent them is the immediate return of migrants to France. But that won’t happen.
