The missiles totally worked and totally destroyed that Patriot system but for totally unrelated reasons our engineers who made the missiles are treasonous scum who didn’t deliver what they promised.

I mean, even if your scientist didn’t build the weapon you asked for, surely you would keep them and incentivize, or even force them as despicable as it sounds, them to build the weapon you asked for instead of jailing them ?
