So I went to Italy as my first flight of my life.
Beautiful country there.
Chruches there always calms my anxiety down…
The one in the picture interests me the most, I really wanna know the story, but I’m unable to googled related stuff.
Please help!
Ok. I’ll try my best. The “room” covered by the veil is called “tabernacolo”. It basically contains the bread utilized for the communion. According to the Catholic faith this bread represent the body and the blood of Christ, therefore tabernacolo is the holiest part of the church.
The veil covering it is called “conopeo”. It divides the holiest part of the building (the tabernacolo) from what is just … Holy (the church).
