A group of Firefighters from Dublin has been in Seville participating in a conference on rescue. This morning, they were leaving in the direction of Malaga airport. They were traveling on the A-92 and at the height of Alcalá de Guadaíra they met a motorcyclist who had just suffered a fall with his motorcycle.
Without hesitation, they protected the area, signaled and got to work. The plane to Dublin could wait. The middle-aged motorist was unconscious, multiple traumatized and unable to breathe. The team of six paramedics began to assist the injured man, managing to stabilize him. He began to breathe and they surely prevented him from respiratory and cardiac arrest.
A team from 061 arrived immediately and took charge of the situation with the support of those who initiated assistance, as reported by Emergencias Sevilla this Sunday. It cannot be imagined that those who saved his life, who held his hand giving him strength or who held his head to avoid spinal cord injuries, are already 3,000 kilometers from Seville.
Bomberos Dublin. A great bunch of lads.
Great work from the firefighters, espcially as they were only there as sevillians.
Stellar work all around
That guy is seriously lucky.
High-speed fall with serious injuries, and basically 6 experienced people with parademic and scene-management experience just happen by.
Horrible to hear but great to see, lucky lucky person to have those lads there, fair fecking play
Fair play in fairness !
Gwan the lads!!
Remember this when they go on strike in the next few weeks.
They are not selfish and they want to help people.
They’re striking because they can’t live with the working conditions. That’s all.
