  1. This makes the Green Party’s propping up an anti-environment, neoliberal government even sadder. We’ve heard loads about concessions had to be made and they made good progress for what they gave up, but it obviously doesn’t amount to much.

They’re gonna get wiped out in the next election which is sad because if a left of centre government gets elected, then I would’ve liked to have seen their strong influence on said governed because Sinn Féin, and the others that would qualify for that, unfortunately don’t have great green policies.

  2. How the feck did that happen? Transport might’ve been up a bit with less people wfh, and agri emissions should be stable by now. Did we start burning more coal or something?

  3. We’ve fallen for our own failte Ireland ‘Emerald isle’ marketing bs and it’s coming back to bite us. Average Irish person seems to think cause we have green fields we must be a clean country and also that we are too small to have to play a part in tackling climate change despite there being over a hundred countries with less people than us.

Hope the Eu fines the shit outta us tbh. It’s embarrassing to be from one of the richest countries in the world and still continually refuse to play our part in tackling climate change.

  4. Crazy how the government are scratching their heads on what to do with all the extra tax money. Yet they’ve consistently fallen down on environmental targets

  5. How much of those countries whose emissions decreased are also in population decline, which is the last thing Ireland needs…
