Anyone would think the cost of food has been stable for the last few years and this is a new issue.
Anyone would think the government can or will do anything about it that doesn’t benefit them and their own investments.
Wonder if good old Sunak will cut down the variety of breads available in his home so he also “feels the pain”.
It’s not new. But there’s a perfect excuse for the rip off stores now, they blame Brexit and Ukraine. Pathetic excuses for extra profits.
And Sunak will be told uncontrolled Energy Costs for businesses and protecting Shareholder Value in the face of a Corporation Tax increase from 19% to 25% is the root cause. All resulting from Government policy
>Rishi Sunak told a gathering of farmers and other food producers an extra 10,000 visas will be made available for the agriculture sector.
It’s almost as if we need those migrant workers
Why? Who can afford food when your energy prices have gone up three fold
