Wondering if this is a decent garage. Cost turned out to be quite a bit higher than expected. Asking for a friend.

Sorry, didn’t realise I hadn’t posted the picture correctly. Hopefully this works. Link in comments as well 🙂

  1. From what I see:
    590 total = 130 oil change + 220 brake disc/pads change + 240 work (3.5 hours).
    120 on top is tax.
Seems reasonable to me, but you could find cheaper, sure.
For parts, you can google prices online. For total including work you can always call a Mitsubishi dealer and ask for a quote, that’ll give you something to compare.

  3. I payed more for remschijven at my garage, but less for like oil and remblokskes… There will be cheaper garages, but I think this looks legit.

  4. Prices and unit prices are correct at first glance.

Went to yearly maintenance & “keuring” checkup this week myself. The stark difference between my check and yours is the amount of hours worked on yoru car. That’s where the cost comes in. My garage only worked for 1,6h on the maintenance/check of my car, so the end cost is lower (also my garage “only” charges €60/h, but I know it charges “fair” prices for an official garage).

But it seems your “remschijven” were changed and I have no idea how long that takes (not a mechanic myself). That could be the part that took 2h extra.

Because otherwise I have no idea why they took so long with your car. That seems VERY long.

  5. Quite cheap actually.

And it’s an old car, they always require a bit more time, because you always encounter something that is inexplicably stuck or loose or makes you lose 15 minutes.

Oil is a bit expensive, but then again there are a lot of different quality levels. Some put in cheaper oil, that often is more than good enough. Your brakes are super cheap.
