Analog Devices to create 600 new jobs in Limerick

  1. Great news. Any industry of this scale has knock-on effects for installation of transport links, accommodation and many other benefits although we can expect the usual teething problems. Good for UL and other universities/colleges in the area especially.

  2. Limerick will be the place to be in 10 years time.

Eli Lilly moving in, Edward Lifesciences recently moved in.

J&J, Regeneron and BD already there.

It seems to be the opposite in Galway. All the medtech companies have really slowed down and it all seems to be going to Limerick.

  3. I just wished that these companies were located in one region in Ireland. They are all scattered all over. Which is why there are so many people working the same jobs for 10-15+ years in these companies which is super unnatural for working a tech job. Since change is the only constant in technology, changing jobs should also be easier.

  4. there was a lot of gloating (opposition/cranks/twitter cunts) when Ireland didn’t get the latest Intel fab; Ireland was alway doing well to get that many Intel fabs and losing was disappointing but hardly a damning indictment.

Now Intel is fucked and ADI is doin well

  5. Does Stryker still use that second building in the back of Raheen business Park or is that the area that Analogue is looking to move into?

  6. good for limerick! now the council shall create a dedicated cycle lane all the way to the city centre

  7. As a Dub I love the fact companies are creating jobs outside Dublin , should have happened decades ago.

  8. It’ll need solid bus and cycling to its location, seeing as it’s built on the edge of the city in Raheen. The 301 and 304 have to be attractive otherwise Limerick will get more congestion.
