Inaccurate video on the Jura and how it is the “poorest” canton

Though the effort in the production of this video is notable, some of the information is laughably incorrect and blown out of proportion or misinterpreted. Yes, the Jura may be the poorest canton by the numbers, there are many other causes for some of the problems pointed out, not just “being poor”.

Please note, I am a resident of the Jura.

Here are some inaccuracies in the video/notes of mine, please comment if you find others:

1. Overall the video is full of unescesary information that does not at all pertain to the topic

2. At 3:03 the video mentions Guangzhou ? Are we talking about China now? Is this script generated by ChatGPT?

3. Around 3:15 the video mentions how “far” the Jura is from the major swiss economic centers, Zurich, Geneva, and Basel, while also at the same time showing the close proximity of the Jura and Basel on the swiss map. Basel is 30 – 50 minutes away by car.

4. 3:43 St. Imier is **not** in the Jura, it is in Bern.

5. Also around 3:43 the watch company Tag Heuer still operates in the Jura today, yet it was not even founded in the canton to begin with.

6. The video brings up the percentage of people with university degrees in the Jura and compares it to the rest if Switzerland, but neglects to mention that the Jura is a more rural region where very few people choose to go to university and many instead pursue apprenticeships. There is no “lack” of education in the Jura.

7. The video says that the public transportation in the Jura is so “poorly developed” that it is practically “non existant”. What? It’s every bit as developed as anywhere else in Switzerland of similar size, and very much does exist, I should know, I use it.

There are surely many more things of note and inaccuracies in the video, I could not catch them all.

It is of my opinion that the video script may be **generated with AI**, and I may be arguing to a brick wall, but some level of effort seemed to have gone into the graphics, could some not have gone into fact checking as well?
