  1. I think some balance is needed, I mean he’s been invited to watch the footy and have dinner, and even if you add all of them up its less than half what Boris blagged just on takeaways.

  2. Industry is obviously realising that the next government will be led by labour, so that’s who you need to influence.

The interesting tipping point for me will be when News International accept the same thing and we start seeing pro-Starmer headlines in The Sun and The Times

    EDIT- couple of typos

  3. Hope we can all agree Labour is just as untenable as the Conservatives. Both will eventually destroy this country. We need an actual alternative.

  4. When the Tories do this, they’re massively corrupt, but when Labour do it, it’s just part of the job. The utter hypocrisy from people refusing to see that there isn’t much difference between the parties.

  5. Working in the private sector it’s pretty much explicit policy that you don’t accept gifts. Especially if there are commercial bidding involved. Wtf how is this allowed.

  6. People who think Labour are going to save them are going to be so disappointed in a few years. After that Davos trip Labour took a sharp right turn imo. I’m sorry to say that none of the big parties have our best interests at heart.

I would say the best first step would be to vote for any party that is dead set on bringing in PR. I honestly think that is the only step forward we can take with what we have available to us at the moment.

  7. Labour are in it for the kickbacks no interest in the unions that’s built the party. No shame Kiers Labour are Tory lite again no fucking shame.

  8. It might be legal, but it shouldn’t be. It undermines public trust to have politicians accept any kind of corporate gift.
