Ivailo was a chad medieval peasant who repelled a few mongol raids with his warband before taking the bulgarian capital, decapitating the king and taking his wife.
The king then was married with the byzantine court so they sent an army to restore order in Bulgaria, which only got destroyed by Ivailo, he got all the survivors executed infront if the capital. He then had to run away from being Tsar since everyone wanted him dead and for some reason he ended up with the Mongols, where the khan executed him.
Im not that good in history though just what I remember from school, You can just look up Tsar Ivailo in wikipedia he was a pretty bizzare character.
