European Jews: attachment to their country, region, the EU and Israel (2019)

  1. It would be interesting to see the percentage of non-Jews with strong attachments to their home country. Probably not much different.

  2. Huh. Im surprised the trend is a lower attachment across the board for the younger generations compared ot the older ones. I certainly expected a stronger attachment to the country in older generations, but not really to the EU, if that makes sense?

  3. I’m actually a bit surprised by the lower values for the EU. I thought maybe there would be a higher attachment to the EU, since it can be seen as a bulwark for democracy and against antisemitism.

The survey says “European Jews” but do we know if it includes non-EU Jews?
