no, firemaking always requires permission from land owner.
In addition to permission, be sure to check up on forest fire warnings. Going “away” from treeline doesn’t negate that.
If there can be sparks, it is considered open fire (avotuli), and then the permission of land owner is required. Also forest fire warnings apply.
Also fire which can spread through ground contact is considered open fire.
I would not the first grill to warm up a sausage, the second one is qn old classic
Yes, far from buildings and such you can. At least if you can do it without disturbing others. Be careful about how you dispose hot ashes, they can lit fires hours after.
Edit: You people can downvote as much as you like, but this is the truth.
99% of the time when I see people doing this there’s lots of litter everywhere and they leave garbage behind too, disgusting.
Check here what’s the current status in the area you want to go. If a forest fire warning is in place you can’t make open fires.

I have never heard a ball grill tipping due to wind, so it would be OK.
