Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help; I’m traveling to / through Germany around the middle of July. I’m trying to book a train ticket from Hamburg to Copenhagen on Wednesday the 19th but most of the late morning / early afternoon trains are apparently completely booked up.

[Bahn.de](https://Bahn.de), [thetrainline.com](https://thetrainline.com) (a UK website), and [rome2rio.com](https://rome2rio.com) all say there are no tickets available – at least from Hamburg to Schleswig. Does this sound plausible? It seems odd that they’d all be booked up on a Wednesday – or is it a national / school holiday or something?

Thanks.

  1. Are you talking about not being able to get a seat reservation for the first leg of the journey? Hamburg-Schleswig is a RE, so a regional train. Those do not have seats with reservations*.

*some exceptions, but none that matter to you
