She made me repeat the city, to be sure, and then her face fell, she stayed silent for a good minute, and she just asked “but… Why? Why Manchester of all places?!”, which was hilarious. Then I told her there was another job offer in Glasgow but it was short term so I wasn’t considering it and she just went “No. Don’t.” Poor thing.
