The road is full of small stones. After slipping there daily with my scooter, yesterday I finally fell – is there somewhere I can report this mess in the middle of the road? It’s obviously dangerous and every day it seems to be in a worst state

Hope you didn’t get hurt.
I would start by informing the local council.
Try council or Transport Malta, but its Malta – you will just be wasting your time. You’ll likey be told “dont use your Scooter”.
Unfortunately no one cares. I had a water drainage in front of my old room. As soon as it started to rain, the cement got weak and the metal plates started to move and make really loud noises when a car drove over it. Later the plates dropped down half in the drainage. I called local council, they told me to contact Transport Malta, they told me to contact water services, they never replied. NO ONE CARES.
That’s not the end. A few months later someone “fixed” it. Everything repeated again until they started to refurbish the whole street. I thought finally they are going to make it good to have it in good condition for next year’s…
Unfortunately that was not the case. They did the same bad cheap work again and the whole started from the beginning.
I decided to move. The noise pollution was just too much.
Interesting thing I realised, all new streets have this problem. As soon as it rains, the new streets change and water drainages and Manhole cover start to make this noises. It’s build for the trash. I’m pretty sure all new streets are ruined in latest 5 years and they need to get refurbished again. Government is wasting money here…
They’re doing “building works” near mine. They were excavating for groundworks but it turns out it’s just another quarry. The road, which is already an accident blackspot, is filled with soil, sand and small stones. As soon as it rains it becomes terrible on a scooter, this is a 60kmh limit and if you take the corner at that speed you’re going to fly off the road. Council didn’t care, nobody did. Wouldn’t expect much tbh.
welcome to malta. all authorities will say its not their jurisdiction and keep forwarding you to each other without anyone taking responsibility.
Currently that progett is being taken care by infustructure malta. They are responsible for the ongoing progett.
Nah mate it’s a part of the Maltese culture.
as Ray Parker Jr once succinctly put it: [who you gonna call? Ghostbusters](https://youtu.be/Fe93CLbHjxQ)?
You can report it in the country to where you should go back. I suppose. In some cities they do act upon that kind of shit. Swieqi is very reactive for example.
I think that Malta has lost its way.
So can someone lets say *cough* vandalize that road with ” suspicious satanic or political symbols ” would that get the attention of anything?
