I’ve been reading [SRF](https://www.srf.ch/) (the news page from the national Swiss broadcaster) for a while, but I’ve recently found out about [Swissinfo](https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng), which seems to be made by the same entity. What’s the difference between them? Do they report on the same events? And which one is more relevant for a Swiss resident?

  1. SRF and Swissinfo are both news organizations that are owned by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). However, they have different missions and target audiences.

SRF is a national broadcaster that produces content for a Swiss audience. It broadcasts news, entertainment, and other programs in German, French, Italian, and Romansh. SRF’s news coverage is focused on Switzerland and its immediate neighbors.

Swissinfo is an international broadcaster that produces content for a global audience. It broadcasts news, features, and other programs in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Swissinfo’s news coverage is focused on Switzerland and its role in the world.
