    I’ve been obsessed by nuclear weapons since I’ve been old enough to understand them. The power is mesmerising. God help us.

  2. People often forget that the French could lay down about one hundred megatons on the target of their choice almost anywhere in the northern hemisphere in under an hour.

  3. Idk about anyone else, but I don’t recall thinking (and or talking) about nuclear weapons at all. I blame it on being too busy, resulting in a lack of time to do so.

  4. “Fun” fact : in the 60’s, France was still conducting her nuclear tests in the Algerian Sahara (Algeria was still part of France).

    Which led to a tense situation in the 1961 military coup attempt in Algiers, because the rebel military generals had a working nuke in their stockpile…
