This is Tunisian, but when I hear it, I hear similarities. This style of music originated in Iberia, under Muslim rule, and came to North Africa after the Reconquista.
Is this style of music the origin of Fado?

What similarities? I don’t see any. And fado is actually recent, the Portuguese reconquista ended in the 13th century.
