Kin: Season 2 | Review, 5 things I liked and disliked about it

  1. Personally I couldn’t get past the unbelievability of some of the actors cast. They didn’t suit the parts. Just my opinion

  2. It’s almost annoying how much better this was than season 1. Every bit of potential last season they just made a complete balls of.

Edit* Apart from Michael’s daughter, some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen

  3. I was critical of the last season but this was well laid out and the plot made sense. Bren was a good antagonist. Good acting. They seemed to relax on the making every second character black as well which isn’t a bad thing by any means just a distraction when it’s meant to be a gritty depiction of Dublin. I was told that was to make it more marketable abroad too so that made sense when someone explained it to me. All in all, I’ll watch the third season.

  4. I was talking to someone about this and they also mentioned the dark colour grading/darkness… this is actually one of my favourite things about it.. I think it adds mood to the series. But I can understand why not everyone may like it.

  5. It was more confident than season 1, and Bren was both hilarious and terrifying. Reminds me of a few cocky lads around here that would get up, scratch their balls and be dying for a fry. Overall an improvement, and still has plenty more ‘ripped from the headlines’ material to use.
