22. Turkey was until end 2000´s controlled by the kemalist elites mainly the millitary. They had the power to designate the future president and bring him to fall if necessary even with a coup.

    Erdogan actually won the fight against the millitary a decade ago.

    Pakistan has still the same urgent issue with the millitary being the shadow ruler of the country.

    In this light, it makes sence that pakistans chairman of the senate sees in erdogan a peace bringer.
