People still put Apple and Steve Jobs on a pedestal for making an interconnected smart phone easy to use, and a simple way for social media companies to develop an easy to interact with mobile application in their closed loop ecosystem, but I argue that the damage caused by giving the morons and cretins a platform far outweighs the benefits to society as a whole.
The beginning of the end of western civilization, the catalyst that put the USA on a downward trajectory by polarizing it’s citizens and only allowing the most extreme examples of any ideology bubble up to the top, was cheap and simple to use touchscreen smart phones coupled with social media.
