He should get help to be deradicalized, in my opinion, in a proper facility – any extreme punishment would only discourage such reports. How many such cases are actually mental health issues and not necessarily politically orientated? If we begun sectioning these cases, and less promoting vitriol, I feel association would be much more shameful…

Can’t be easy turning in family like that, but the mum did the right thing. Hopefully the kid can get help and unlearn the hate so he doesn’t end up going any further down this road.
A lot of other parents from certain other communities could learn a lot from the way this mother responded to he son becoming radicalised. Good for her and shame in everyone else who turns a blind eye or tacitly supports radicalisation.
