How Ukraine Found Itself on the Verge of Another Crisis with Poland

  1. I agree with that if Ukraine and its people should give us anything for all our help, it should be acknowledgement of Wołyń massacre and true sorry.

I want our 2 nations to be real friends for centuries, so we need that step.

  2. Yeah, it’s pretty fucked up from our side, trying to help and seeing black red flags on their videos

  3. If Poland apologised for Operation Vistula, then Ukraine can also apologise for Volhynia and stop praising Bandera.

I was accused of being a Russian troll multiple times on r/europe because I said that Bandera was a fascist. They always have the same response: “Uhm akshully he fought Russians”. Ok but you have to look at the entirety of his career.

I’m not going to blame modern day Ukrainians for the crimes of OUN but you know, in Germany they don’t wave Nazi or SS flags and don’t celebrate their WW2 leaders responsible for the deaths of millions of people. I won’t be able to find a street named after Joseph Goebbels in Germany.

It would be weird if Poland suddenly declared Brygada Świętokrzyska as heroes because they also fought against Soviet RuZZia. These guys acted pretty much the same as OUN. Being anti Russian doesn’t give you a pass for being a fascist, antisemite and a genocider.

Edit: This comment went from 3 to -3 in a few minutes. I didn’t know there were so many fascists here.

  4. I dunno, it really doesn’t feel like this is the right time to be dredging all this stuff up. Can it not wait?

  5. You people are old. To damn old. You are the past. We are the future.

All Historical issues with Wołyń and Exhumations of our people will be discused with Ukraine officials. But first we have to help them beat red army and win this fu..ing war.

Ruskie psy zabiły wszystkich cywilów w Soledarze i Bóg wie gdzie jeszcze.

  6. Somehow Ukrainian industrial grain which was meant for export ended up on Polish food market. Then it turned out that companies selling the grain in Poland had direct ties to members of PIS. Then the latter decided to ban majority of food export from Ukraine. When asked about the reqsoning behind such decision they bring up Volhyn. Is this not some prime manipulatory maneuvering??

Edit: For those highly interested in playing fingerpointing with the Volhyn massacre/tragedy, here are some points to think about:

    – There were 3 different OUN. One led by Bandera, the other one by Melnyk, and the last one by Shuhevych. These were very different groups with different outlooks on what a hypothetical “Ukrainian State” should look like.

    – UPA was responsible for the massacre, that’s true. However, there were 4 different UPAs. Most of these were established long before the OUNs.

    – Modern day Ukraine is NOT a successor of any of the OUNs or UPAs, and thus cannot bear legal or historical responsibility for the actions of the group which committed the crimes. This is further underlined by the fact that the administrative power over the region at the time belonged to the occupying force, aka. The Third Reich.

  7. It’s a great time to be a businessman in Ukraine. Everything is handed out for free to them in bulk
