I went back to the Polish Supermarket which is only a 5 minute walk from my house and bought some biala keilbasa to add to it as per your suggestions, and I can now officially say I am a fan!

  1. You are also a Tymbark enjoyer! Glad you like it.

I, can recommend you imo legendary juice from my childhood. It’s still available in some stores.

    Tarczyn – Czarna porzeczka.

  2. Raising my eyebrow at the ogórek kiszony but other than that, looks pysznie.

  3. This is GOAT of soups in Poland for me , flaki are on 1st too, pomidorowa and rosół are great too but not a godly level

  4. idk what kind of recipe you had, but it is crucial to add a horseradish to the soup. you can either do that directly on a plate and stir until it disolves, which for this size of plate would be around of flat teaspoon of horseradish, or into the pot. it is possible your bag of instant żur already had it, i don’t know.

  5. Fellow enjoyer of Żurek and this is certainly tasty (yum I’m hungry now!). And also Tymbark apple mint

  6. Went a little overboard with pickled cucumbers, but I like the initiative. Don’t forget bread and potatoes!

  7. Oo i think that biała kiełbasa was my idea eat good my man 🙂

  8. You can also add normal kiełbasa on top of biała, adds another flavour to it.

  9. Try making krupnik. It’s an another popular soup and don’t know a person, that doesn’t like it.

  10. I’m not sure about the rim pickle but that looks great! Bonus points for Tymbark!

  11. Have you tried it with chrzan? It’s twice as good with it.

  12. What the fuck are you up to with them pickles man

  13. I would kill to have a polish supermarket walking distance.

Used to have a Ukrainian deli walking distance which sold a lot if polish products, but I’ve since moved

  14. Your post is the best post I’ve ever seen! I have a smile on my face that you love it! These cucumbers slices haha

  15. That looks scrummy good job dude your making me crave żurel so bad rn

  16. omg thanks for making it! I commented on your last thread abt it! I’m glad you decided to throw in the eggs and sausage as was recommended! Thanks for trying the great soup of Poland!

  17. Looks perfectly done! Next question is have you tried making pierogi ? That’s next step !

  18. I have a żurek hack for you to try next time. When your soup is basically cooked and ready, instead of boiling eggs separately, break your raw eggs into a bowl, mix them and then pour them slowly into the soup stirring all the time. The soup needs to be boiling. It will give you small, stringy pieces of egg which makes the soups nice and thick. This also works with barszcz bialy.

  19. I was i poland in the early 2000s as a little kid on vacation every year, an in my memery every single polish meal looked something like this, except more homemade sausage.

Ayo Poles, your markets are lit, fucking giant ass chernobyl vegetables that are super tasty, and also this old öady used to let me weigh her scale and gave me candy sometimes <3

  20. “Tymbark” is like, the most Polish juice there is lmao. In literally every single country in the world it sells in, except for Poland, it uses the name “Top Fun”

Have you tried making a [Polish-cuisine-correct broth](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosół) tho’? Especially with noodles

  21. Now you got me hungry for some żurek. There are no Polish markets in my area, so it’ll be from scratch for me.

  22. Kto mu dawał ten przepis że tak ten barszcz spierdolił?

  23. Legit can’t believe that people actually like our national food.
I know, it is good, but I’m still surprised by how people still notice Poland at all among other countries.

  24. If you will make it on your own, you will totally fall in love with it. That’s one of the soups that I miss in México 🙁 smacznego!
