  1. Never been in Poland, but I know a couple of poles and they are decent people.

    Also – kurwa.

  2. Very interesting country and culture with the strangest hardest to understand slavic language. When I hear Polish I assume we could be friends. Also a great manufacturer of Hi-Fi equipment, Unitra.

  3. Fine country with great history and bad neighbours. I had couple of polish colleagues over the years and they are some of the best guys I’ve worked with. Looking forward to do family vacation in Krakow

  4. I think Poland should be a role model for the rest of Eastern Europe. Strong economy. Strong military. Standing up to Germany on mass immigration. Standing up to Russian aggression. Not afraid to voice their position and stick to it despite threats.

  5. I love Poland! Lived in Wroclaw for couple of months and I can’t say a bad thing about Poland. Good example for a post communist country!

  6. Never been there, but based on online (and a couple in person) interactions, I really like the poles.

    pozdrowienia z Bułgarii

  7. Been there once in Warsaw. It was way more beautiful than Sofia. The fact that the old city was rebuilt after WWII based on paintings was mind-blowing and polish people have my utter respect for this. The WWII museum was also great, and for me it’s a very good sign when a country knows how to make a museum.

I don’t like the more conservative view of the politicians, more specifically the conservative policy about abortion. I remember there were protests, but tbh I’m not aware what the most up to date situation is.

    Also – kurwa

  8. I have only lived with poles while studying abroad and have since had mixed feelings about them. Met a few extremely nice people, but on the whole they tended to be clique-y, dismissive, rude, narrow minded when other cultures were present and they drank a lot and in a messy way. I was part of a girl group who unsuccessfully tried to prevent a sexual assault by a polish man over an extremely drunk and incapacitated friend of ours and we failed. I definitely try to put all this to the side when meeting polish people but I’m wary.
State-wise not my thing either – far too religious and socially conservative. (Human rights, abortion laws etc)

  9. People, like any other people are in majority nice people. I’ve had nice exchanges with polish people.

Politically I would love Bulgaria to be more like Poland in matter of diplomacy, military, economy. Perhaps a bit different in social politics. Major respect for helping Ukraine and the average pole helping Ukrainians with what they can. True solidarity. I would say out of the big EU nations I would trust the most Poland to lead the EU.

  10. I love Poland, I have a high opinion of polish people as well. We know historically they’ve been through a lot (WW2) and despite that they’re progressing very well compared to other eastern European countries. Poland has also stood up against both Germany and Russia, that’s very impressive 🇧🇬❤️🇵🇱

They have good things going for them, such as economy, army, CD Projekt Red, culture, but I don’t like the whole stigma and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community and the fact that many people there are too religious. I don’t have any problem with religious people who are doing no harm towards nobody, but I have with those who use religion as a justification for discrimination against LGBTQ+ and other minorities.
