  1. Honestly the mainstream media are absolute scum. They’re not set to bank 17m. Wrexham are being given public funding to develop. Literally no banking going on

  2. Guys the gateway project is more than just about the stadium the station upgrade is huge, ultimately an investment that will see many multiple times returns be brought to us over the years. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money and unfortunately par the footy we have no other pull at the moment.

  3. The Wrexham revival has been one of those feel good stories. It’s great what Ryan and Rob have done, they come across as genuinely enthusiastic, they engage with the fans – and that has translated into giving the club a buzz. Attendances figures have doubled, and they have won promotion back to the bigger leagues.

Thus the club, and the whole community will benefit from this investment in the stadium. It’s a GOOD thing. And yet the Daily Mirror tries to twist it.

Daily Mirror – you’re an oily rag.

  4. Jesus christ, I will never understand why the press needs to sensationalise when just putting out *good news* will achieve the same result. The racecourse is getting funding for promotion! That’s great, and it must feel great and vindicate the team and the fans for their phenomenal belief in their club and the faith and investment from both Reynolds and McElhenney.

It’s a great feeling. Plymouth are seeing similar investment right now and it’s nice to see some growth.

  5. Every step of the way their finances have been inaccurately reported by the media. A couple of months ago they were “losing a staggering £3m in a year”.

  6. Ffs for those complaining it ain’t hard to understand. The welsh government are investing that money so the ground can host national team games.

Not to mention an extra 5500 seats is going to bring some serious tax revenue in.
