Whether you’re pro or anti immigration, or even somewhere in the middle, we can all agree that this government has made an absolute hash of it. They talk tough but deliver nothing. It’s time for some new ideas and a new government to implement them.
It’s funny because these numbers don’t tell much at all.
There’ll be huge emigration numbers in 2025-2026, if the war in Ukraine stops next year and no more HK people coming. Also new student visas will start to balance in the numbers.
None of this will be due to Labour’s actions, just circumstantial.
So they can totally take the risk of attacking the Tories on this one, and lure all these uninformed Brits who care.
Students should NOT be in the stats. This is so f stupid.
Since immigration is not something Labour will be able to control, this is not a hill Labour wants to die on.
The problem is the inherent contradiction between the tough talk of a party which is drifting closer to the BNP by the day, and the demand of their wealthy backers for cheap labour.
The Tories exist for one reason and one reason only – to enrich themselves and their mates. People who vote for them expecting actual conservative policies are, quite frankly, thick.

I do agree with you though that we shouldn’t be fighting one another but should be standing in solidarity, however the right firmly believe in defending the establishment over their fellow oppressed man
