Just made it to beautiful Dublin, all the way from Melbourne Australia. I love it here!! I’m seeing all the textbook touristy things today

  1. Make sure to visit Darndale in north Dublin to see the charming horse shows all throughout the day and the motor show that takes place every evening around 8pm

  2. Try and make it to see west Cork, ring of Kerry, Killarney, The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Connemara while you’re in Ireland.

  3. Make sure you do all the touristy stuff

    * Guinness Storehouse
    * Viking Splash
    * Get on the wrong bus and end up in a shithole
    * Punch a Junkie.

  4. Make your way to the Cobblestones in Smithfield at around 4.30 for a few pints.

    Be careful too though. Flinders st is very upscale compared to most streets in Dublin unfortunately.

  5. Temple Bar isn’t a terrible place to start, don’t mind the other posters here. Yes, it’s very touristy but it’s close to better places (try The Long Hall or Grogans) and there are some fun things to do there.

    I recommend an Irish Dancing lesson in the Merchant Arch bar, good craic.

  6. Welcome!!!!! If you like postcard Ireland but your staying in Dublin take the DART (rail) from Dublin along the coast. There’s a beautiful villages and towns along the route. The cliff walk at howth (from upper cliff road) is amazing. Kind of like cliffs of moher but closer to Dublin. Enjoy 😉

  7. See what you need to see in Temple Bar and go somewhere kinder to your pocket would be good advice. I would suggest McNeils on Capel st. Good Guinness and trad music most nights 👌

  8. Get out of temple bar!! Go up around to the area around grafton street from. Dawson street across to georges street. And stephens green. Visit the georges street arcade. Dublin castle and the library are fab. Dont go near o connell street or the liffey boardwalks.. Full of bad peeps

  9. Head to St Michans Church, in the crypts underneath you can touch the hand of an 800 year old mummified crusader

  10. Don’t drink in that bar in the picture unless you fancy paying crazy money for a pint. Most museums are free in the city and worth checking out. Check out Dublin castle as well. And if your here on Saturday there is a free tour of the Presidents Residence in the Phoenix park but it’s only on Saturday mornings. – Dublin itself it’s quite easy to get around on foot so just wander around – on a nice warm days it’s great. Just don’t mind the junkies and beggars though …

  11. Nevermind those over priced touristy hell holes.. you need to get your arse to the wonderfully quaint picturesque village of Darndale, if you want to experience real Irish hospitality. It’s where I recommend all my tourist friends go and I’ve never heard a complaint back from them. In fact as I’ve never even heard from one of them again I can only assume they enjoyed it so much that they decided to stay and have never left. Enjoy
