Sats reading paper: Government defends ‘challenging’ tests

  1. This government is like a drunk driver on their phone, crashing into a lamppost and blaming the council for putting it there. They are completely incapable of admitting they’ve got anything wrong.

Which is funny really, given they never seem to get anything right

  2. ” it was “heartbreaking” to see her pupils struggling to get through the reading paper. ”

Why? Aren’t tests supposed to be hard. Most kids will struggle with some of. It. What would be the point if every kid got 100%.

  3. Considering the plummeting ranking of the UK in education, how can anyone be surprised?

This is the same country that celebrates a royal birth right and left Europe to satisfy racists like Nigel Farage.

    None of this is surprising.

  4. What’s the story here? Isn’t there a curriculum? So if the questions are outside of that then there may be a point that it’s not entire fair. However if they are all questions within an agreed curriculum it’s fair game, surely?
