My room…🤦

  1. It’s healthy.
As a kid I slept in a room where the Windows would freeze from the inside. Never had a cold.

Edit: what kind of dipshit must you be to downvote this? Do some actual fucking research, idiots.

  2. Grew up like this. In winter you lived in the rooms that had heating (kitchen and living room). You wanted to take a bath? Space heater the room and then you could go (we never took showers, was considered wasteful). When it was time for bed you’d wrap yourself up in a bathrobe and you’d sleep under a winter duvet with a blanket on top (and the bathrobe) while wearing thick pyjamas and socks. Absolutely hated it. Didn’t have some magically improved immune system either. But I still can’t sleep in a warm room now. In summer I’ll even use an ice pack. Cooling down is how you body knows it is sleep time so there’s some truth to it. But when you’re a teen and you just wanna hang out in your room? Yeah winters sucked so hard.

  3. Put your feet in a nice warm footbath. It’ll feel as cosy as you can be. But being cold sucks!

  4. If you’re new to this, here’s some tips:

Heat yourself, not the space. Use electric blanket, microwaved cherry pit pillows, warm water jar. Consider looking into heated motorcycle gear, or similar workers gear that works with the brands rechargeable batteries. Try to find it used of course. 80s skiing onesies are comfie. If you’re cold, put on more or better clothes. Hands are the most difficult, but I think there’s electrically heated gloves out there.

Watch out for mold, so be extra careful with humidity and ventilation. Drying clothes on a line inside, cleaning, cooking, showers and open flames all increase humidity.

  5. Oh man, When I was younger my dad wouldn’t pay for the heater and I pretty much had the same situation. Idk what could help but goodluck
