I was taking a bus with my US freind in Gdynia, he took this photo of a movie scene because he though a rouge ONR group took over a street and I had to calm him down.

  1. Is there a lore reason why OP’s friend thought all Slavs are Nazis? Was he stupid?

  2. Not only took over the street, but brought all those old cars with them, 1940’s clothes, and then had the audacity to bring the cameras, crew and film the whole thing!

  3. Not only did he mix the symbols (falanga and swastika), but also colours (white on green and black on white and red).

  4. That’s a moron moment for your friend, ONR aren’t some kind of blackshirts or militia that goes in with guns and takes over part of the city, they are just a band of fascists/far right activists that are not strong enough to do such a thing. They would also use their own flags, not German Reich ones. Other random fascist thugs are mostly hooligans, so most you will get is devastation of walls and them beating someone up, and that is still rare. We aren’t living in IIRP or Weimar Republic.

  5. Yeah, the assumption went a little far but i too got jumpscared when i stumbled on a prepared shoot that doesn’t have filming equipment in the Warsaw old town. ONR wouldn’t fly 1:1 Nazi imagery, they have their own symbols and are falangist fascist not actual Nazis. Any Nazi imagery in Poland is either shitty graffiti or stickers with less known neo Nazi symbols.

  6. We had a post about it not long ago… no context or explanation just ‘meanwhile in Poland’ kind of a title. And when you try to tell people these sort of photos should come with an explanation you often get someone with a broom stick up their arse: “PeOpLe ArE NoT ThAT StUpID” or “Do YoU nEeD sOmEoNE tO HoLd YoUr HanD AlL tHe tImE???” 🤷‍♂️

  7. I hope it is Netflix production and finally will see black man or asian man as a SSman ;);)

  8. I live around and I definetely thought something really strange was going on

  9. Yes they came with their Oldtimers to the takeover. Drive-by with a Mauser pistol. That’s how they roll in 2023.

  10. Cue this making the rounds in Russia state propaganda as “proof” that there are “nazi’s” in Poland.

  11. > and I had to calm him down.

“Wo wo wo bro, calm down, this is not the US, we don’t do that here.*”

    * Insert Madison Square Garden or just Trump/Capital Hill assault reference here.

  12. I like that ib your friends mind Polish nazis also drive times-appropriate cars, a nice touch to being a nazi

  13. Lmaoooo how tf could he think that?

1st of all promoting nazism is illegal here, so those flags would not hang there for long and the police would try to take them down

2nd of all, although ONR has a lot in common with the Nazis – they generally avoid the swastikas in public.

  14. >because he thought a rouge ONR group took over a street

    Such a reddit mentality.
