I have had to cancel Christmas got my booster 2 days ago & I am feeling absolutely sh!t, not going anywhere near my parents, I have had a very hectic week of shopping & socialising, I cannot be sure whether I have Covid or I am just suffering from Side Effects of the Booster Shot.
Its all over the shop at the moment. I doubt its the peak considering just how contagious it is. At least its not hospitalising but its still knocking healthy people out and in isolation for 10 days.
Pretty much fell out with 1/2 my family cos I tested 3/5 antigens positive and won’t take a chance with elderly parents and am doing the right thing by isolating till I can get a PCR.

2nd time getting covid . Just got a positive antigen yesterday and a girl I’m seeing was in my house the last couple of days so now she’s here for Christmas. Only dating 2 months so this will be a true test to see if we have a future 😂
Well i might be overoptimistic here. But considering we are seeing a high number of cases and lower numbers of severe cases. The could be us getting towards the end?
As the strain will take over the more deadly ones and hopefully just be a standard flu.

People are brushing it off with talk of mildness and that’s fine but a point is missed: If everyone catches it, that will cancel out any benefits of mildness. Plus if it spreads rapidly, it could break out in hospitals, reducing our capacity without people actually being hospitalised.
We already know that NPHET have recommended things like school closures if things go really bad. Hopefully we won’t get there.
As of today, that puts us at 34,978 cases this week so far, the second highest recorded in a week since this started.
The highest week of cases was the first week of January at 45,770.
At this rate, we’ll blast right through that.
Two family members tested positive two days ago on antigens, both got pcrs yesterday and the pcrs came back negative. Don’t just presume the antigen is right!!

Stuck in England thanks to positive antigen test Tuesday, positive PCR Tuesday! We had planned to be in the states for Christmas but hey-ho, what can you do. My other half has somehow managed to stay testing negative staying out of my way.
Very mild as things go. Felt a bit shitty Sunday night after booster and figured it was just side effects.. after 24 hours decided to test and bam.. angry red double lines. Honestly now on day 5 feel fine, stuffy nose, slight cough, bit tired.. still testing positive though so merry Christmas me alone in my room!

Basically means daddy omicron is gonna take over and Covid won’t be so bad no more

Surely we should be going around coughing into each other’s mouth at the moment if Omicron is the dominant strain and has the mildest symptoms.
Hang in there lads. If South Africa is anything to go by we are going to see a very steep rise followed by and equally steep fall. We may come out of the other side of Omicron better off than when we went in. Fingers crossed anyway.
