Isn’t this a bit dramatic?

  1. This far beyond being dramatic. This is just straight up lies.

I think they haven’t even read what exactly we are voting over. Nowhere does it say even a single word of forbidding anything. It’s all just benefits, nothing will be forbidden (saddly)

  2. Ok, lets take this bullshit apart.

On mass immigration: The climate law has literally nothing to do with immigration. The two things are simply not related at all and I don’t even know what to say about this so-called “argument”.

About all those things that are supposedly banned if we say yes to the law: This is just not true. Nowhere in this law does it say that any of these things are going to be illegal. Nuclear energy is not even mentioned with a single word in the entire text. This is just ridiculous.

Now, cars running on fossil fuels: Our goal is getting rid of those and replacing them with carbon neutral cars as soon as possible. Because whether the SVP likes it or not, climate change is happening and human activity is causing it. However, the words “auto”, “fahrzeug” or anything similar is, again, not even mentioned in the law. Fossil fuels will not be banned. Saying otherwise is just a straight up lie. There are also no taxes on fossil fuels mentioned in the law.

Same goes for oil-fired heating. They are not going to be banned, neither will they be taxed more. But the state will support replacing oil-fired and electric heating systems (the latter of which are so inefficient that they use up around 10% of our electricity during winter months) with 200 million francs a year for ten years.

But don’t take my word for it. If you can read this comment, you can also read the [proposed law](https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/fga/2022/2403/de) in full. It’s not even that long.

I know I shouldn’t expect anything from the SVP. But I seriously think that this is a new low in the party’s history…

    EDIT: Typos

  3. Overdramatic is an understatement, but here is my hot take:
Nuclear, if done well, can be part of a sustainable energy mix, and Switzerlands current nuclear energy policy isn’t smart.

  4. For commercial products such completely misleading advertising is forbidden. But for the highly important process of democracy it’s not.

    Find the mistake….

  5. We got this ad that said “the price of gas will increase!” Like my dude, that’s the whole fucking point, with more expensive fossil fuels, renewables will be developed faster and become cheaper and more viable.

  6. I started to vote to whatever is the opposit of this overdramatic Pamphlets.
If you need to cry lies at me your possision is probably bulshit.

  7. This is so frustrating… Shouldn’t printing and distributing this kind of verifiably false information in regards to a current vote be illegal just like false advertising is illegal?

  8. My family don’t support this because they didn’t give plans for the thing.
But honestly I don’t see this as good point to not to vote.
We aren’t a third world country, we can develop our country with future energies, like our ancestors did with the train transports

  9. the never come up with actual solid points for their arguments so they always just straight up lie lmao. Pity that it actually works for a lot of people.

  10. What I don’t understand about the conservative’s position in this vote: This law incentives lessening the reliance on energy imports. Replacing oil and gas with electricity and producing more electricity locally. Not relying on other countries is a big part of the conservative’s ideology. I.e. a lot of people wouldn’t be able to heat their homes today, if we’re for some reason unable to import enough gas and oil. That would change. Why isn’t that marketed as a big win of the law by conservatives?

  11. I see a pamphlet in this alarmist, tasteless style, I know what my default vote will be. (Then I read up on the matter elsewhere. Rarely been wrong so far though.)

  12. They just use the same approach as the people who send you Emails that they’re a prince and need money. If someone is stupid enough to believe it, they will be convinced, no matter what.

  13. What makes me aggro every time is using the load on poor people as an argument.

We are one of the wealthiest countries. We’re not short on buying power and resources as a country. We have the resources for everyone to live a rich person’s life. Making stuff a bit more expensive won’t change that. We just need to distribute our wealth more equally.

Also, where does the money go when we start building more energy production within the country? Into a hole, never to be seen again? No, it goes to people working in this country.

  14. It shows how desperate they are. The more a party fears people won’t listen to them, the extremer the symbols, slogans and images have to be.
That’s actually a good sign bc they think themselves that it’s not improbable that this Abstimmung could get accepted.

Edit: Why is there no single mention of KMUs? That’s a must on every flyer!

  15. a bit? In the country with one of the highest normalized average wealth? This is just plain stupid.
