This is just sad

  1. It’s better now since shops are giving food to public benefit organizations but it’s still fucking bad, I just hate all these laws forcing us to waste products.

  2. Could they have been exposed to or contaminated by something?

  3. yo,what a waste of food,i see that most of then look pretty god, like u can still eat it[not, all of it,maybe, not sure]

  4. Someone could have frozen and brought them to the local animal shelter 🙁

    edit: typo

  5. It could have been really good strawberry spirit.

  6. Probably seized by police from an unlicensed street vendor.

  7. That’s a paper recycling bin and wasted food.

Only individual household waste is properly separated or they won’t collect it.

Communal recycling bins are allways full of mixed waste, Poles are just too stupid and arrogant to bother.

  8. Tomatoes are too expensive, so people don’t buy them, so they are thrown away, what you don’t understand? /s

  9. Wasting food should be a crime. These can be made into jams or juices or eaten. People who throw away food are criminals.

  10. I also disguise those illegal sellers with a passion, they dispose their unsold fruits into a private trash container

  11. If this is not polish product, you can just put it in a jar and eat like jam. My dad has a farm of his own (if your near Opole come to Lędziny for beat strawberries of your life), and our strawberries go bad after a week max.

  12. Don’t you have programs to donate to people? That’s just so sad. But then again, it’s a great opportunity to do dumpster dive

  13. Ok, hear me out – I hate wasting food as the next guy, so we should not do that. ALthough in my personal life I don’t care as much as I used to (I was obsessed with not leaving single bite out of respect to the food). It’s because problem with poverty and hunger is not caused by lack of food on the planet, in fact we are past that ad are able to ‘creade’ abundance of food. Problem is with the system that makes it so people who do not meet certain criteria – in eyes of society/laws/structure of society do not deserve to eat and are not given the opportunity to have some.

Just wanted to share my perspective.

  14. I don’t know where it is, but in Kauflands they are keeping these strawberries until every piece will be rotten. Just discounted 50%. Nobody buys them anyway, because people do not like paying for rotten food. 😅

  15. I know that loads of good fruits are going daily to waste because of EU regulations… and this is wrong

  16. Could there be a recall on them? I don’t know if there’s a similar process in Poland, but in Canada food can have a recall for something like listeri and then obviously it would need to be removed.

  17. A profit must not be taken from the strawberry. For some it is better to throw hood away in the trash than feed those in need with it. Sickening.

  18. dont forget, cool people always seperate their trash

  19. Do all of your strawberries look that perfect? My strawberries look don’t look juicy and disease free compared to yours.

  20. Where’s ‘too good to go’ when you need them. They collaborate with shops to sell about to expire products at low cost.

  21. I spotted some moldy strawberries. There is chance they throw this food because this is rotted. Still, worth to check if every pack looks like this or they were just individuals

  22. Thats why LIDL in germany have the „Rettertüte“. Best idea ever!

  23. FUNNIEST THING HERE is that the paper bag says that it’s “Eco packaging”.

    ECO

    It’s literally hopeless.

  24. Facts. But the worst thing is, you can get fired when you give the food away or eat it. There were some cases when a worker got fired bcuz she put strawberries in the kitchen for everyone to eat. Sick and stupid

  25. I think every country should do it like France, they have a law that forbids grocery stores to throw away food, instead they’ll have to give all of this food to charities and food banks. Can’t believe that barely any country in this world adopted such a law.

  26. Honestly, I don’t care what do you think about me, but I’ll take like half of them and eat. Most of them look still eatable.
