  1. I apologize, I don’t speak Bulgarian. I’ve been playing gajda for more than 20 years with international folk music bands in the United States. I had to take some time off from my band recently due to a family illness, but I found more time to work on this project I had been thinking about for several years.

Every part of the gajda in the video is 3d printed apart from the stocks (the pieces that attach the pipes to the bag). That includes the chanter, drone, blowpipe, reeds, the one-way valve in the blowpipe, and all the joint corks (where a traditional gajda would use wrapped twine). I made 3d models for the stocks as well, but this video uses the bag from my traditional wooden gajda, so I didn’t need them here.

  2. Wow this sounds quite authenticity Bulgarian. Are you interested in the gaida specifically for some reason or the bagpipes in general?

  3. Sounds great! You also play it very well, at least according to my untrained ears 🙂
