White British school children ‘could be a minority within 40 years’ with just 50 to 60 per cent of the population to define themselves as white British by the year 2060, study claims

  1. From the oh so very reliable source that have never ever misrepresented the findings of any study ever, they promise, the Daily Mail.

  2. “Study claims”? What study?

    > Dr Morland said: ‘In terms of the speed of the decline, there was work done by demographers at Oxford and other work more recently that looks at 2060, where we’ll have perhaps 50-60 per cent of people defining themselves as white British.

    So our sources are:

    – Work done by demographers

    – Other work

We have absolutely no idea who is making this claim and on what evidence. It seems irresponsible to even report on this as news

  3. Makes no sense really because white people exist because black people left sunnier climes and settled here.

If you’re worried about a lack of white people then stop putting vitamin D in flour and grains and the future population that doesn’t die off from rickets will have paler skin (and even some with blonde hair and blue eyes) just as some people do today.

But, you know, what it would really suggest is that white people in the future are having relationships with people from other ethnic backgrounds and their kids have darker skin than them…and they’re all happy.

Of course the other thing they always seem to be scared of is the idea that a person needs the same skin pigment or genitals as you in order to share your values or represent your views – but, surely, anyone who is looking at the current Tory administration has been dissuaded of that precept by now? Nish Kumar and Nutun Huq certainly both realise it now.

  4. Comparing the 2011 cenus to the 2022 cenus, the white British population dropped by an average of 0.4% each year. That is not a number to be sniffed at.

  5. Why the fuck do you allow this hate rag? It’s just biased hateful shite and doesn’t even create balance.

  6. Why do Mail readers care about this? The only ones I see clutching this particular rag have no chance of still being around in 40 years time.

  7. This is the primary concern of the country to me and it isn’t even close. The economic tide comes and goes but ethnic destruction is permanent and unfixable. The awful thing is, even though we’re already at a critical point, we’re not even close to being able to even posit that it might be an issue. If anything the opposite is the case: it’s still held as a good thing. By the time the county wakes up it will already be far too late

  8. Let me guess, the “study” went like this:

    – Take a single cherrypicked stat from the past couple of years
    – extrapolate it over 40 years
    – publish

“Oh, net migration was up last year? Time to assume it’ll be that rate forever now”

  9. Highly predictable. Birth rates decrease with wealth, you have a wealthy home population with a declining birth rate mixed with a poor immigrant population wanting to create their own home.

I’m curious if this study takes into account the declining birth rate of the immigrant population once they too become more wealthy.

  10. That’s… not how maths works… if the demographics are 40% white british, 25% other A, 15% other B, 10% other C, 5% other D, etc… guess who’s still the majority?

  11. This is like the one about how if you look at graphs of the number of elvis impersonators, we’ll be overrun with elvis impersonators any day now.

  12. I would love for society to be that diverse. Imagine how many new ideas, foods and aspects of other cultures we would get to enjoy.

  13. Let’s be honest about this. This world isn’t the greatest place to be bringing children into anyway. Home ownership is becoming harder and harder, rental costs are going through the roof, climate change is an existential threat looming on the horizon. The sensible, rational choice right now is not to have kids.

  14. This comment section is an absolute shit show. The fact this is still active is crazy, because it’s intentionally divisive.

  15. Oh no, who could imagine a Britain where the general population is a mix of several different ethnic groups that have arrived over different generations and often intermarried. Perhaps the language would even be drawn from different linguistic roots based on those cultures, with differences in pluralisation of words etc. What an unprecedented occurrence unimaginable in Britain.

/s in case it isn’t noticeable. I couldn’t bring myself to click on the article, so if they have any specific objections to the UK pallette being insufficiently pale that aren’t just racist panic, then my apologies.
