So Telenet customers: Happy to be the testing public for the roll out of their new software? The American parent company chose Belgium to test out so they could learn and test before they apply it on Ziggo, the Netherlands. Nice to pay so much for basically being beta testers for other countries.
Cant count the amount of times I’ve had to contact Telenet because of their shit Flow app. Several lasting bugs that are not deemed critical ( such as not being able to watch extra paid channels on tv and laptop, only on my phone)…
I used to recommend them to everybody, it’s expensive but it’s quality.
I moved over to them with my job and I had a 1gb connection that fluctuated between 100mb and 400mb most of the time and sometimes would dip slower. As if I was sharing my internet connection yet I wasn’t. I’d rather share the price then. Crooks.
I only had issues with them. I went with another provider that sub-let their network and everything was better and more reliable. I don’t get it.
My main problem with Telenet is that my upload speed is 15x slower than my download speed, and this hasn’t changed in the past 20 years. But Telenet doesn’t care.
*Proximus heavily breathing and drooling over the news these last weeks
Telenet is laughing their ass off. I mean, what are we gonna do? Switch to Proximus? If you live outside of the city, they’ll have to use telenet’s cables anyways and you’ll get exactly the same service at half the speed.
The same thing goes for every other provider btw. If you don’t live in a city where other companies have their own cables you can chosen between telenet and second class telenet with another brand name.
I took telenet 360 wifi to try out the homepods (not planning on paying for them after the trial period). It took 3 weeks for the modem to get activated, 3 weeks later and I still get the same error when trying to activate those. The central service has to activate them, and telenet told me that doesn’t have priority as the modem works so I shouldn’t be complaining (how they worded it). I got an estimate of 2 weeks until they would be connected, we’re now 1 week past that and I doubt it will happen in the next couple of weeks either.
Only reason I’m not switching is because I’m still a student and I can profit from their “cheap” 300mbit download package. The moment I’m done, I’m going to mobile vikings
