the curent Iberian drought will likely lower hydro power production for the rest of the year,**nonetheless renewables are growing faster than hydro is declining**
**solar and wind accounted for 43% of electricity generation in Spain so far this year,compared to 35% last year**
solar now has a higher share than hydro(15% vs 11%)
27% of electricity came from natural gas in the first 6 months of last year,vs 19.4% now
nuclear share increased by 1% to 22.4%
coal is dying out at only 1.6% of electricity generation so far in 2023

Not sure how this actually translate to cheaper gas for us here in Spain.
I’m still paying way too much as a single person who takes 5min showers, but I guess the 30€ service + IVA fee is the biggest culprit of that….
