A blind friend from abroad will be visiting Prague in a couple of weeks. She has asked me for recommendations for blind & guide dog friendly museums and institutions.
She mentioned that she visited ‘torture museum’ 9 years ago where she was allowed to touch everything which was really special for her. Meanwhile she also had very bad experience from Sweden where formally most institutions claim that guide dogs are allowed but in reality she wasn’t let into most places.
I would be glad for any recommendations for blind friendly tourist activities in Prague, answers in English are preferable so that I can refer her to this thread directcly.
EDIT: For anyone bumping into this thread while searching for similar information.
[National museum](https://www.nm.cz/en): All buildings accessible with guide dogs, they prefer to get advance notice by email in order to make the guards aware of blind visiter with dog. (Information provided via official email account)
[Public transportation museum](https://www.dpp.cz/zabava-a-zazitky/historie-dpp/muzeum-mhd): Contacted them by phone, the guy on the phone was clearly never asked this question before but after some thinking said that it should not be a problem. Touching trams etc. from outside should be also OK.
[Torture museum Prague](https://www.prague.eu/en/object/places/561/torture-museum-muzeum-utrpneho-prava): allows guide dogs, everything may be touched.

I don’t think that guide dogs will be allowed into museums and the other thing is that touching historical artifacts is not allowed by default.
Check out National museum of agriculture. I haven’t visited it yet but it looks very fun and interactive if you like nature at least a little from the webpage. Of course there are some classic expositions your friend wont be able to enjoy, but from photos and videos it seems like they have lots of sensory expositions.
I found their entry policy and it says assistance dogs are excepted from no animal entry rule.
I tried to look more into assistance dogs laws but sadly I found nothing about museums or other recreational places. It only states you can’t be denied from restaurants, stores, services, transport and bureaus… museum people are usually soo kind and I believe most of them would see no problem with a guide dog unless there’s a valid reason to deny the entrance , but I understand you want to be extra sure you and your friend won’t run into any diffilcuties. I hope you find the right activities for you and make the best of the trip 🖤
