  1. “I don’t see the need for a lockdown”

“I think we’ve been wearing masks long enough”

“We’ve all been vaccinated let’s just get on with it already”

    Slap these short sighted imbeciles

  2. ‘Off sick’ suggests all 18,000 are suffering with symptoms. I’m curious how many are suffering with symptoms vs isolating due to being positive.

  3. This doesn’t seem right. There are 1.3m people working in the NHS in England. 18k is only 1.38%. Public sector average is 2.9% sickness rate, NHS is 4.1% so 18k at any one time seems really low.

If the number is right then it’s lower than expected.

Edit: Nevermind, I’ve now actually read the article. Still, that puts total sickness at 4.9% which is only marginally above the average which I’d guess typically peaks in the winter so it’s about average.

  4. We shouldn’t be expending so many resources on the unvaccinated. They are clogging the scarce NHS resources. What needs to be done is that unvaccinated who chose not to but could get charged 1k quid per day in hospital, or part thereof. Give them the option to get vaccinated but set the price tag.

This would get those malcontents vaccinated pretty quickly.
