Obviously we don’t know anything about the motives yet, but it’s pretty hard to crash into the Downing Street gates by accident.

They drove a compact car at the gates at about 3mph. I doubt it even chipped the paint.
Seriously unlikely this is anything sinister. At worst, this is a very ill-advised protest act.
This is fairly minor but I fully expect a good portion of the media to go wild with this.
Until further details emerge though there is no point in jumping to any conclusions.
