Super depressing but not surprising at all. Urban design here is almost entirely focused on cars. So there’s no need for them to make a street pleasant to walk down or look at.
This is a misleading map. The area they use for tree coverage is much larger than the area of the Nicosia municipality and even the urban area in general. They don’t do the same for other capitals.
And Limassol is way behind Nicosia in tree cover 🙁
