The most annoying thing about the immigration situation is that people talk as if it’s a bad thing, from opposition politicians to journalists, the idea that lots of immigration is bad is just the norm.
But the only argument in support of that is racism.
Immigration brings wealth. People buying goods and services grows your economy. It’s why it took until brexit for the Tories to seriously dent numbers. Before the neo fascist populist nonsense that was brexit, tories blamed immigrants while knowing full well that the country needed them.
How can we expect immigrants to control immigration. It’s a nonsense.

When we were in the EU, immigration was half of this (even though it was in theory unlimited).
As soon as we leave, it doubles, mostly made up of Chinese and Indians who we have far less in common with than our European neighbours.
The Tories will absolutely sink at the next election.
