Congratulations from Canada! I was way more invested in the Bronze medal game than the one my own country played in.
Absolutely amazing effort from team Latvia. Lots of love from Canada. A few friends and I watched it start to finish on the edge of our seats the whole time. You guys are very relatable to us Canadians because while it is true that in hockey we are strong, in soccer, we are massive underdogs and our world cup run this year was the first time since 1986 we even participated. We aren’t yet at the level of success that you guys have seen with this win, but we hope to one day be able to do what you guys did.
Anyways, two different sports aren’t really comparable, and I prefer hockey so congrats on your win. You guys deserve it so much and I am proud of your journey to success. Have fun celebrating!
