That was only part of a £70m money laundering scheme
Government was too busy having parties instead of bothering to make the proper checks on these loans. Most were pocketed by businesses and used to buy expensive cars, acting as a cheap finance deal…

For a split second I hoped it was a story about one of Tory donors managing one of Covid-related schemes. Oh, well…
It’s disappointing that companies involved in illegal activity like this aren’t somehow added to a list so that loan applications could be double checked before being accepted.
It fucking boils my fucking piss that people like this were able to defraud the scheme so fucking easily. These lads setup a bunch of new fake companies to apply for loans!!!!!!
Like how fucking hard is it for the government to have some checks in place that can check if a business on an application is a real business? Did they file tax returns over the last X years for example?
I think we’re only seeing a tip of this fucking iceberg. I wouldn’t be surprised if lots of other fraud stories are being buried in the press because this government don’t want to extent of the incompetence revealed.
Like how the fuck can you not check if a company is real or not??? What the fuck!!!!
The government allowed two men, already under NCA investigation and released on bail, to claim roughly £10,000,000 in bounce back loans.
